2/11/2017 0 Comments From Sudbury to Bangkok![]() We arrived in Thailand last night.. and to be honest, my internal clock is a little messed up. It is a 12 hour time difference so it puts us in complete opposite of our regular schedule. We arrived at 2:30 (so 2:30am at home) and the airport was slammed! It took us about 2 hours to clear customs, then another 30 minute cab ride to get to the hotel. It was nice to see Fred Stonehouse develop such a bond with the cab driver in such a short time… it was like two lost souls connecting. When we arrived at the hotel, the cab driver made sure to hold Fred, cupping his arm and waist and walked him to the door. Touching! We met up with our head instructor, Pat and he organised the rooms, then we made plans to have dinner at 6:30pm. We freshened up, and it was off to see Bangkok!! We ate at New York Style Steak &Burgers. The food was fantastic, the restaurant was cool. It actually reminded me a lot of when I was in Okinawa, Japan. This one in particular reminded me of those little places where a lot of foreigners would go eat as the food was closest to what was at home. A lot of people would be excited to try all the authentic foods, but I tend to be a little more conservative in that area. After a great dinner… we were ready for a crazy night in Bangkok… or To be honest, I think everyone was pretty tired after travelling over 24 hours.. so it was back to the room and get ready for our flight to Phuket tomorrow! We leave for the airport at 8:30am.. so its go time! To see more pics from our Journey, check out this FACEBOOK ALBUM
